Understand Medicare Coverage

Medicare part B, traditional medicare:

Premium

Cost of having insurance (does not have any effect on deductible)

Deductible

Amount you pay before medicare starts covering your bills (this is usually already met if you have had any surgery in the calendar year prior to starting physical therapy)

Co-insurance/copay

This is usually 20% of your visit cost

If you have a supplemental insurance, they often will cover the remaining portion of the bill for medicare covered services.
